Correction

Due to a roster error, Gateway High’s place-kicker, Walter Marques, was incorrectly identified in a story in Thursday’s Osceola News-Gazette.

Youth sports

The City of Kissimmee Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities Department will offer a selection of new youth sports classes.

The classes include Floor Hockey, Parent/Tot Sports, Soccer, Lil’ Pint Hoops, T-ball, All Sports, Track, Arena Flag Football and Basketball. Youth ages 2 to 12 may join.

Classes begin Oct. 8, and run through the week of Nov. 16.  All classes are $42. Locations for the classes include Mark Durbin Park at Lakeside, Oak Street Park Community Center, Denn John Fields and Chambers Park Community Center.

Youth soccer

The City of Kissimmee Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities Department will offer a youth soccer league for beginners from Oct. 13 to Dec. 1.  For more information, call 407-518-2360.

The fee is $60. Children ages 6 to 8 will play from 1 to 2 p.m.;  ages 8 to 10 will play from 2 to 3 p.m.
