Support Booster Club

To the Editor:

My wife, my brothers, and I are former St. Cloud High School student-athletes, and I currently teach and coach at St. Cloud High.

We have been fortunate to have a wonderful volunteer organization make our time at St. Cloud great:  The St. Cloud High School Booster Club.  Some of our sports have few participants and make little or no money during the course of their respective seasons.  Our Booster Club allows the coaches to coach and the athletes to play by taking some of the worry about financially supporting their team away or by providing enough volunteers for their events.  Whether they are raising money through the “Breakfast with Bulldogs” at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, working the ticket booth, selling shirts, having fundraisers, running the concession stand, giving out scholarships, or putting on our Hall of Fame Dinner, they have helped countless St. Cloud High students and families.  As their name implies, they give our athletes that boost they need on the courts, fields, links, pool, track, and platforms to have the opportunities they deserve.  The amount of time, effort and caring our Booster Club puts into our athletics is astonishing.  I could never convey the staggering importance of our Booster Club to our school and our community. If you are a former student, parent of a current or former student, or just want to help a truly worthy cause for our student-athletes, you will find a rewarding experience being a member of the St. Cloud High School Booster Club.  Helping out by donations, volunteering hours, or just simply being a member will help our student-athletes.  But above all, YOU can and will make a difference for our community!  I cannot thank our Booster Club enough for what they have done for my family, my students, their parents, our coaches, our school, and our community.  They are a genuinely noble organization making an immeasurable difference.
