Osceola County Mosquito Control plans to begin aerial spraying Saturday between 8 p.m. and midnight in the Yeehaw Junction area.

In the event weather prohibits aerial treatment, the alternate day will be Monday during the same time frame. Mosquito Control will continue to provide ground treatment via spray truck throughout the County as weather permits.  (Ground treatments are not conducted when it is raining or if the winds are at 10 mph or greater.)

Osceola County Health Department recommends citizens check rain gutters and other objects in yards and around homes for standing water, and flush out birdbaths every three days.  For outdoor nighttime activities, the use of insect repellent containing DEET is recommended, as well as to wear long sleeves and pants.

To log a service request, contact Mosquito Control at 407-742-0200 and provide your name, phone number and address. Staff will perform a site inspection of the area to determine treatment options.
