The city of St. Cloud, which has received three inches of rain since 3 a.m. Monday, is reporting standing water on Commerce Center Drive, and that pumping operations are underway in the Espirit subdivision near Commerce Center Drive and Old Canoe Creek Road, officials said. Motorists are asked to avoid the area near Blackberry Creek if at all possible.

Two to five inches of rain from the storm’s bands have fallen across Osceola County since Sunday night, but water should begin to recede once the precipitation stops sometime this afternoon.

Some locations along U.S. Highway 192 east of St. Cloud, including out to Harmony and from Forever Florida to Holopaw may experience road ponding and flodding. Motorists are encouraged to not use cruise control and slow down to reduce the chance of hydroplaning and losing control, officials said.
