Sept. 8 will mark the eighth annual Jason Burnett Memorial USO Motorcycle Benefit Ride.  

All motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to join up to 1,000 riders as they head out on a police escorted route through Osceola County.
The ride takes off and ends at Orlando Harley-Davidson South located on U.S. Highway 192, in Kissimmee, just four miles west of Interstate 4. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.; ride departs at 10:30 a.m. and returns for an after-party from noon to 3 p.m.  For each $25 donation, participants will receive an event T-shirt, lunch provided by Carrabba’s Italian Grill, entertainment, along with opportunities for door prizes and a silent auction.  All proceeds directly support our troops through the USO Care Package program and their families through the Greater Jacksonville Area USO, which operates three of the four USO offices in Florida.
Although this ride is held in support of all the men and women who are veterans or on active duty in our military, 2011 officially marked the year the ride name was officially changed to The Jason Burnett Memorial USO Benefit Ride. In 2006, LanceCpl. Jason Burnett, USMC, was the first Osceola County resident killed while serving his country in Iraq.  
“There is a special place in the hearts of myself and family for this benefit ride,” said Jason’s father, Ron Burnett.  “We have supported the ride since the beginning and are extremely honored to have it dedicated to our son, Jason. If Jason were here today he would say this was a great event and he’s be grateful to everyone that made it a success.”
The Jason Burnett Memorial USO Benefit Ride is recognized throughout Florida as one of the largest fundraising events of its kind in support of the USO.
