An Osceola County man was arrested for allegedly sexually molesting a 10-year-old girl in their apartment complex's pool.

Osceola County Sheriff's deputies arrested Afner Alburez, 18, of 5263 Images Circle, and charged him with sex battery victim under 12 and lewd and lascivious molestation.

The investigation began on July 29 when deputies responded to the Images Apartments, 5259 Images Circle. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the 10-year-old victim's parents who indicated their daughter reported Alburez touched her inappropriately on two separate occasions.

Alburez is not related to the victim, but lives in the same apartment complex, Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Twis Lizasuain said.

The first incident allegedly occurred on July 27 in the family's garage when Alburez touched the victim inappropriately. The second incident allegedly occurred the next day when the victim and Alburez were in the apartment complex's pool.

Alburez was brought in for questioning and cooperated with the investigation. Based on the information, Alburez was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail with no bond.
