Harmony youth FB

Harmony youth football and cheerleading is accepting players for the upcoming season.

Children ages 5-15 are eligible.

Opening day is July 28 starting at 8 a.m., when equipment will be handed out along with other activities and a barbecue.

OHP hosts AAU

Boys basketball teams from the across the United States and Canada will compete in the AAU Basketball Super Showcase and National Championship Tournament at Osceola Heritage Park next week. Games will be at the  Exhibition Building from Wednesday through July 24, and in the Silver Spurs Arena Julsy 24-28.

These Super Showcase events feature the top high school basketball talent from across the country.  The events are certified by the NCAA, and top college coaches are expected to attend and evaluate the players for possible college scholarships.

Tickets for individual sessions are $16 for adults, $11 for ages 3-9, and ages 2 and under are free. Event passes are available.  For more information visit www.aauboysbasketball.org.

SC youth soccer

The St. Cloud Soccer Club will hold registration for ages 4-17 for recreation and competitive leagues at the soccer fields at 2701 Missouri Ave. for the 2012-2013 season.

Registration dates are today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; July 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and August 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Harmony FB camp

Harmony High will hold a football camp July 23-26 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for children in grades K-8.

Santos scholarship

A fund has been set up at CFE Federal Credit Union for Osceola High soccer player Allanfredo Santos, who recently earned a scholarship to Richmond International Academic and Soccer Academy in Leeds, England.

Santos must provide the school with $1,200 to hold his place for the upcoming school year.

Open gym volleyball

The City of Kissimmee Parks, Recreation & Public Facilities Department will offer youth volleyball open gym on Fridays, and adult open gym volleyball on Tuesdays.

Youth open gym volleyball is available for players ages 8-16. It will be played through August at Denn John Middle School from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Adult open gym volleyball is for players age 16-over. it is held from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays.

The fee for both youth and adult open gym is $3 (cash only) per visit, or a punch card can be purchased on site for $20 for 20 visits.

Predators youth FB

The Poinciana Predators Youth Football & Cheerleading Organization is holding registration for football players and cheerleaders, ages 4-14.

The fee is $75 for football and $140 for cheer. The league plays at Vance Harmon Park (by Country Club Road and Cypress Park Way). Last season the Senior football players (ages 13-14) won the AYF National Championship and the Mighty Mite cheerleaders (ages 7-8) won the United Cheer National Championship.

Water polo, diving

Youth ages 8-18 may join Toho Water Polo or Dive Osceola offered at the Makinson Aquatic Center in association with the Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Department.

No experience is necessary, but students must demonstrate swimming ability.

SC Aquatic Team

The  St. Cloud Aquatic Team, a U.S.  Swimming affiliate, welcomes swimmers ages 5-and-over who have experience swimming the length of the pool with a crawl stroke.
