The Kissimmee American age 11-12 LIttle Leaguers claimed the District 3 championship Saturday and move into the sectional tournament July 20-23 in Apopka.

The team defeated St. Cloud (14-8), Kissimmee National (19-3) and Celebration twice (13-0, 21-1), slamming 18 home runs in four games. Team members: Emil Perez, Pedro Figueroa, Jorge Ramirez, Kendrick Calilao, Adams Torres, Trevor Moore, Isaac Tayes, Darren Friedman, Paul McCrimon, Jose Feliciano and Brandon Matos. Coaches are Julio Figueroa, Ross Calilao and David Friedman.
