A Kissimmee man was killed in an Orange County wreck Friday night after crashing head-on into another vehicle.

According to Florida Highway Patrol reports, Daniel Hopkins, 22, of Kissimmee, was driving northbound on Boggy Creek Road in a 1997 Nissan vehice at abouty 11:45 p.m. For unknown reasons, he crossed into the oncoming lane where he collided head-on with a 2010 Ford SUV driven by Victoria King, of Maryland, patrol officials said.

Hopkins was pronounced dead by the Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner's Office. He was not wearing a seat belt, reports stated.

 

King was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt, reports stated.

The crash remains under investigation.
