Three Kissimmee residents were injured in a three separate car accidents on Interstate 4 and Sand Lake Road early Thursday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Jennifer Muroski, 23, of Ocklawaha, was driving her 1997 Saturn four-door up the entrance ramp to I-4 westbound from Sand Lake Road at 4 a.m. when she abruptly made a lane change across the highway and collided with a 1980 Toyota Corolla driven by Junior Almonte, 19, of Kissimmee.

After the crash, Ambar Acosta, 22, and William Westbrook, 22, both of Kissimmee, came upon the accident and Acosta slowed her 1999 Mazda four-door to avoid the crash.

Felix Maysonet, 57, of Orlando, failed to break in his 2011 Toyota Camry and rear-ended Acosta’s car.

Additionally, Lauren Traver, 21, of Orlando, slowed down for the two crashes but James Jaeger, 52, of Orlando, didn’t stop his 2007 Lincoln and rear-ended Traver.

Almonte and Traver suffered minor injuries and were transported to Dr. P. Phillips Hospital in Orlando for treatment.

Both Acosta and Westbrook suffered serious injuries and were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Muroski was ticketed for improper lane change. Maysonet and Jaeger were each ticketed for careless driving.

All parties involved were wearing their seat belts and none of the crashes were alcohol related, FHP reported.
