La_Cantina_Homicide_Possible_WitnessOsceola County Sheriff's Office detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a possible witness to a homicide that occurred at La Cantina Bar in Kissimmee on Friday.

Sheriff’s Office detectives are trying to find the suspect who shot and killed Humberto Escudero-Capoeuila, 43, who was found laying in the parking lot.

During the course of the investigation, detectives received information about a bar patron, on video surveillance inside La Cantina, who might have information about the homicide. At this time, detectives do not believe he is a suspect, but a possible witness to the crime. The Orange Osceola Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Escudero-Capoeuila died from gunshot wounds.

On Friday at about 2:15 a.m., deputies responded to La Cantina located at 2654 N. Orange Blossom Trail in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a deceased male, later identified as Escudero-Capoeuila laying in the parking lot. Deputies spoke with several witnesses from the bar who said they heard gunshots and came outside.

Based on the evidence at the scene and information obtained from witnesses, detectives are classifying the investigation as a homicide.

Anyone with information about the unknown male or the homicide is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $5,000 dollars.
