It’s a classic rock weekend at Universal Studios Orlando today as ZZ Top and 3 Doors Down take the stage at Universal Orlando as part of the resort’s Summer Concert Series.

Multi-platinum rock band 3 Doors Down will kick off the night.  The group has topped music charts since their debut album “The Better Life,” which was certified multiplatinum and includes smash hits like “Kryptonite,” and “Loser.”  The band’s most recent studio album, “Time of My Life,” debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and includes the singles “Every Time You Go” and “When You’re Young.”

One of the most recognizable bands in rock history takes the stage next.

ZZ Top has some more than 25 million albums and recorded classic rock staples such as “Cheap Sunglasses,” “La Grange” and “Sharp Dressed Man.” The band has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for their musical contributions. They recently released four all-new songs on an extended play album, “Texicali,” on June 5, and their legendary song, “Gimme All Your Lovin,” appears on Universal Studios’ most rockin’ coaster, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.

Universal Orlando’s Summer Concert Series is included in admission to Universal Studios Florida and gives guests the opportunity to add a major concert to a day of theme park thrills.

You can sail the sea, gamble and listen to classic music or stay on dry land and pretend you are at a 1950s sock hop at some of the Central Florida’s upcoming music scene options.
