PHS district track

Poinciana High will host the 2A District 7 track meet  Friday at 11 a.m.

 

Teams competing include Bishop Moore, Crooms Academy, Lake Highland Prep, Lake Nona, Orlando Jones and Port Orange Atlantic.

The top four athletes from each event will advance to the regional meet next week.

Other local high schools will compete at district track meets Wednesday at St. Cloud and Winter Park.

Harmony FB meeting

All incoming freshmen or others interested in joining the Harmony High football program must attend a meeting with Coach Jerrad Butler April 19 at 7 p.m. at the high school auditorium.

Harmony physicals

Harmony High will hold its annual physical day April 25 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the gym.

The fee is $10.

St. Cloud physicals

St. Cloud High will hold its annual physical day April 26 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the gym.

Predators youth FB

The Poinciana Predators Youth Football & Cheerleading Organization is holding registration for football players and cheerleaders, ages 4-14.

The fee is $75 for football and $140 for cheer.

The league plays at Vance Harmon Park (by Country Club Road and Cypress Park Way). Last season the Senior football players (ages 13-14) won the AYF National Championship and the Mighty Mite cheerleaders (ages 7-8) won the United Cheer National Championship.

Flagfootball4fun

Flagfootball4fun is an NFL-affiliated flag football league beginning play in Osceola County in April for children ages 5-16.

The registration fee is $99, which includes a NFL jersey, equipment, and insurance. The league will run through June with games being played on Sunday afternoons.

Games are at Flora Ridge Elementary, 2900 Dyer Blvd., in Kissimmee.

Water polo, diving

Youth ages 8-18 may join Toho Water Polo or Dive Osceola offered at the Makinson Aquatic Center in association with the Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Department.

No experience is necessary, but students must demonstrate swimming ability.

SC Aquatic Team

The St. Cloud Aquatic Team, a U.S.  Swimming affiliate, welcomes swimmers ages 5-and-over who have experience swimming the length of the pool with a crawl stroke.
