Seminole County Sheriff’s Office deputies March 23 arrested Bradley H. Watts, 24, of Miami, for his alleged role in an armed home invasion March 14 in St. Cloud.

A warrant was issued for Watts’ arrest March 15. St. Cloud Police Det. Jeffrey Munoz said Seminole County deputies were checking on several addresses they had for Watts' family in the Sandford area before spotting him. Deputies compared recent photographs of his tattoos before conducting a traffic stop and arresting him.

Watts was booked in the Osceola County Jail Monday on zero bond, charged with home invasion with a firearm, armed burglary to a dwelling, three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of false imprisonment and grand theft.

"Some of these charges are punishable by life (in prison) because of the home invasion charge," Munoz said.

The investigation began March 14 after three women in the Anthem Park Subdivision in St. Cloud contacted police regarding an armed home invasion.

Watts and Artevious A. Benton, 26, of Eustis, allegedly broke into a bedroom window, which caused the three victims to hide in the laundry room, the police report stated. One of the victims knew both suspects and recognized their voices, prompting her to confront them.

Benton allegedly pointed a handgun at the victims and threatened to shoot her if she didn’t get back in the laundry room. Benton then allegedly guarded the door while repeatedly threatening to kill the women while a directing Watts around the house to take various electronics, including several computers, cell phones and televisions, the police report stated. Nearly $6,000 in electronic devices were stolen from the residence.

Seven children live in the home with the three women, but none of them were home at the time of the incident, an arrest affidavit stated.

Benton was arrested March 17 in Eustis and charged with home invasion with a firearm, armed burglary to a dwelling, three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of false imprisonment and grand theft. He also has zero bond.
