The Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Miami Regional Operations Center announced Feb. 17 that it had arrested Orville H. Bullitt, 44, of Davie, for 144 counts of possession of child pornography. Bullitt was arrested Feb. 13 in Osceola County.
Bullitt became a suspect during an undercover investigation by FDLE’s Cyber High Tech Crime Squad. During the investigation, the agent was able to trace images that had been shared online back to Bullitt’s home computer.
FDLE agents executed a search warrant at Bullitt’s home in Pembroke Pines and located 144 images of child pornography. The investigation has shown that Bullitt has lived in Miami Shores, Davie, Pembroke Pines, North Miami and Osceola County.
Authorities in a press release said they were concerned that there may be other victims who have had contact with Bullitt. Anyone with information is asked to call the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST.
Bullitt was booked into the Osceola County Jail. The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, and his bond was set at $1.44 million.
FDLE is an active member of the three Internet Crimes Against Children Task Forces in Florida. The ICAC task forces were created solely to investigate Internet crimes against children that include the online sexual exploitation of children and child pornography.
