U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Kovachevich on Feb. 10 sentenced Miguel Godinez, 27, of Haines City, to 188 months in federal prison for distributing more than 50 grams of  methamphetamine.
Godinez pleaded guilty on July 13.


According to court documents, between at least October 2009 and June 30, 2010, Godinez worked with others to distribute methamphetamine in Polk County.  On June 30, 2010, Godinez sold nine ounces of methamphetamine to an undercover officer in Kissimmee.
On March 4, Drug Enforcement Administration agents seized more than 400 grams of methamphetamine from Godinez’s Dodge Ram.
