ALDERMAN – Maud Alderman, 79, went to be with the Lord February 12, 2008.
A Florida native who was born in Ocala, Florida and a resident of Kissimmee since 1966, she is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence, daughters; Debbie Barber, Carol Alderman Blizzard, sister, Gladys Glenn, Grandson, Justin Barber, with many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Visitation for Maud will be Saturday, February 16th from 11:00 to 12:00 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled immediately following the visitation at 12:00 p.m. with a committal service following at Osceola Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Orange County Humane Society, 2727 Conroy Road, Orlando, Florida 32839.

BAILEY – Edward Shores Bailey, 56, of St. Cloud passed away Sunday, February 10th, after a brief illness.  He worked for years at E.T. Wrights and Global Rubber, then moved to St. Cloud and trained for computer programming.
He was  born in Brockton, Mass. and graduated from Rockland High School, and summered in Scituate, Mass. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends.
He is survived by his sisters, Diane Lydon of St. Cloud, Nancy Forbes of  Michigan, Patricia Henderson of Ocala and Carol Leigh of Maine. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother in laws, Tom Lydon, Bill Henderson and Dave Leigh. He leaves several nieces and nephews, Steve Yule, Pattie Ridley, Peter and Michael Forbes, Michelle Breault, Chris Cordeiro his godson, Eric Cordeiro, Delynn, Alison and John MacKenzie.

BENGE – Amanda Lynn Benge. The gates of heaven opened for Amanda on Feb­ruary 2, 2008 after an accident in mid-January. She fought hard to be here with us today, but was called to heaven.
She was a beautiful person that will truly be missed. We loved her very much. Her family and friends are blessed for having 21 memorable and amazing years with her.
She is survived by her parents Sid and Linda Belford, mother, Kim Adan, brother, Adrian Fulk and Claudia, sisters, Aleasha and Keasha, brothers-in-law, Jeremy McCallister and Leo Sousa, nieces and nephews Bayle, Constance, Demetri and Rio, grandparents Carolyn and Stan Clements, Harry and Judy Hinthorne, and Patricia Lippert, and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services will be held at Hickory Tree Community Church, 1215 Old Hickory Tree Road, St. Cloud, FL 34771 at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008. there will be a celebration of her life following services at the Belford residence, 3340 Henry J. Avenue, St. Cloud, FL 34772.

DISTLER –     Mrs. Elizabeth M. Distler, 68, of Lorraine Way, St. Cloud, Florida, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Distler was born in Hudson, New York and moved to the Central Florida area in 1985 from New York. She was a sales associate at Wal-Mart in Kissimmee for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in St. Cloud.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ludwig J. Distler, sons, Michael (Judy) Distler, Stephen (Michele) Distler, Thomas Anthony Distler and his fiancé, Krista Pennington, grandchildren, Michael C. Distler, Kyle R. Distler, Emily D. Distler, Katie E. Distler, Andrew J. Distler, Matthew T. Distler, Dillon A. Distler, and brother, Santos (Elizabeth) Marino.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, February 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in St. Cloud with Reverend Fabian Gimeno officiating. Entombment will follow in Osceola Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery in Kissimmee. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and ­­6-8 p.m. at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Kissimmee on Sunday. Services under the direction of Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery, Funeral Home and Crematory, 1717 Old Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee, Florida. 407-847-2494.

JOHNSON – Betty L. Johnson, 68, of St. Cloud, passed away Monday February 11, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Johnson was a certified nurse’s assistant. Born in Sinking Springs, OH., she lived in St. Cloud for many years. She was a Christian. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Johnson. 
She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Brenda L. Flores (Peter Bradley), Karen S. McCormack (Larry), Patricia Johnson all of St. Cloud, sons, Bill Johnson (Sue) , Terry Johnson, Fred Johnson all of St. Cloud, Rodney Johnson (Kim) of OH., sister, Joann Hoovermill, brother, Jim Wallace both of OH., 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Peace Cemetery. Family and friends may call that same day from 11:00 a.m. until service time also at the funeral home.  Arrangements under the directions of Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 2000 13th St., St. Cloud, Fl. 34769. PERLMUTTER – Leonard Perlmutter, 88, grandfather, Army veteran, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Florida Hospital – Altamonte.  He was 88.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Brooklyn and The Rockaways, moved to Oceanside NY in 1958, then to Orlando, FL in 1979.  He served in the United States Army in from 1943 to 1946.
A graduate of New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, he was a machinist before entering the army.  After the war, he worked for the United States Post Office in Far Rockaway for 30 years, retiring in 1979.
He helped establish and was president of his local union and was also a member of the Jewish War Veterans and the Knights of Pythias (Oceanside Lodge 827).
He was predeceased by his brother Arnold.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Winafred, his brothers Oscar and David and his wife Audrey, his daughter Alice Kazin and her husband Gary, his son Mark and his wife Ilene, and his daughter Patricia, grandchildren Felicia and Perry Kazin and Hayley and Kara Perlmutter, and six nieces and nephews.

WATTS – Beulah D. Watts, 91, of St. Cloud, passed away, Thursday, February 7, 2008.  Born in Erwin, TN, she moved to the area from there in 2002.  She was a retired social worker with the Upper East Tennessee Human Development Program.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Erwin. 
Mrs. Watts is survived by daughters and son-in-laws, Mary Ruth and Jerry Rogers of Kissimmee and Amy and Babe Grissom of St. Cloud; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Funeral services and interment were held Tuesday, February 12, 2008 in Erwin.
