St. Cloud travels to Celebration Friday at 7 p.m. for a 7A District 6 game that the Bulldogs must win in order to stay in the playoff hunt.

The Bulldogs, 1-6 and 1-2, beat Liberty, 44-26, last week to record their first official victory. Previous wins against Gateway and Agape Christian were forfeited. The forfeit to Gateway counted in the district standings.

The Bulldogs will play without running back Eric Pheifer, who sprained his ankle against Liberty.

"Travon Williams will carry the load this week with Jeff Spelman in for breaks," Bulldog Coach Chad Ansbaugh said. "Our kids are excited about playing in the county this week. We want to be sure we are sharp going into an important three-week stretch."

Celebration, 0-8 and 0-3, has scored in only two of its eight games this season and lost to Gateway, 37-0, last week.

The Bulldogs, with wins Friday and at home against Harmony next week, would remain alive in the district playoff race.

City of Life Christian, 0-7, hosts Hernando at 4:30 p.m. Friday on campus as part of the school's homecoming and Roktoberfest activities.
