Four people, including two from Kissimmee and St. Cloud, were killed over the weekend in four different Osceola and Orange county crashes, authorities said.

Three of the victims were killed on Sunday, while the fourth was pronounced dead Friday.

Stephanie Middleton, the World history and advanced placement human geography teacher at the Professional and Technical High School (PATHS), Friday was named as the 2014 Osceola County School District Teacher of the Year.

The annual event was at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee.

An Osceola County School District investigation completed in December revealed that Celebration High School head football coach Ed Meierkort failed to responsibly account for a team fundraiser during the 2012 season, according to documents obtained in a public records request.

Through the Houston Astros first 10 spring training games at Osceola County Stadium this year, fans have been treated to some new things.

The team went retro-style on its uniforms, producing an older look and a new logo, which are splashed all over the ballpark.
