Christopher Martinez, DOB 1/24/2000
A 21-year-old Kissimmee man who once temporarily worked as an Osceola County Jail nursing assistant has been arrested on multiple counts of child sex charges.
Juwann Plasencia-Vazques was arrested last week and charged with two counts each of lewd and lascivious battery and lewd and lascivious molestation on a victim older than 12, younger than 16; two counts of lewd and lascivious conduct by offender older than 18; seven counts of possession of child pornography; and one count of incest. He is being held without bail at the same jail he worked at.
According to Osceola County Sheriff’s reports, the alleged activity with the 14-year-old victim, which included taking pornographic pictures of her at his residence, occurred between November 2024 and March 2025. Reports said the victim told authorities Plasencia-Vazques was working as a jail nurse and would come to her room for sexual activity when he got home in the early morning hours. An Osceola County Jail spokesperson confirmed Plasencia-Vazques last worked at the jail in March as a certified nursing assistant through Aligned Government Services, a temporary staffing agency.
Allied Government Services confirmed Wednesday that Plasencia-Vazques is no longer under contract with it.
When questioned by sheriff’s investigators, Plasencia-Vazques denied having intercourse with the girl, but admitted to other sexual acts, insisting she was the aggressor. Reports said a search of two phones belonging to Plasencia-Vazques revealed numerous lewd photos of the victim along with internet searches on how to delete messages from phones and Snapchat and the effectiveness of various birth control methods.
Driver charged in 2023 fatal crash that killed Kissimmee bicyclist
Police on Monday arrested Christopher Martinez, 25, in the death of a bicyclist who was struck while trying to cross West Vine Street at Yates Road around 6:30 a.m. on July 28, 2023.
The victim, identified as 45-year-old Antonio Gaud, was reportedly hit by a 2020 Hyundai Sonata driven by Martinez. After striking the bicyclist, Martinez’s vehicle was then rear-ended by a 2023 Kia Sorrento. The force of the second collision pushed the Hyundai further forward, causing its front driver’s side tire to roll over Gaud, who was pronounced dead at the scene by Kissimmee Fire Department responders.
Gaud, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, landed in the westbound inside lane of West Vine Street, where both vehicles and the damaged bicycle came to rest.
According to the crash report, Martinez was traveling nearly 80 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone at the time of the collision. Investigators said there was no indication that he applied the brakes before the crash. A data recorder from his vehicle confirmed the speed along with damage consistent with the crash sequence, including severe front and rear bumper damage and a shattered windshield bearing blood evidence.
The second vehicle had been travelling roughly 56 miles per hour when it struck Martinez’s car. This vehicle sustained front-end damage, and the airbags deployed. Investigators determined that Gaud entered the intersection from the north side and was in the roadway when Martinez attempted to maneuver around him by changing lanes, but the bicyclist continued across and entered the path of the Hyundai.
Martinez has been charged with vehicular homicide and reckless driving. Police noted had he been traveling at the posted speed limit of 45 mph, he would have been far enough from the impact point to potentially avoid the crash altogether.
