If you still need sandbags, they will be available Tuesday late in the morning, while it's still safe to get around before the effects of Hurricane Milton arrive early on Wednesday. They are:
- Osceola Heritage Park
1211 Shakerag Road, Kissimmee FL 34744 - Open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (or until supplies run out) - Celebration Athletic & Recreation Complex
305 Campus St, Kissimmee, FL 34747 - Open from 7 a.m. until sandbags run out.
Local officials have not (yet) issued any evacuation orders or curfew. That includes Good Samaritan Village, which saw heavy flooding in hurricanes Irma and Ian in 2017 and 2022, where emergency officials said Shingle Creek is at an acceptable level in case the area receives the 4-6 inches of rain expected from Milton.
