The Florida Fire Frogs return to Osceola Stadium today at 7:05 p.m. to open a four game home stand against the St. Lucie Mets.
The home stand continues Sunday at 5:05 p.m. against the Mets and with two more games Monday and Tuesday, each beginning at 7:05 p.m.
The Fire Frogs had a late lead slip away on Wednesday at Clearwater, losing 9-5, to slip to 22-31.
Florida grabbed an early lead with an RBI double down the left field line of the bat of Tyler Neslony  in the opening frame, but Clearwater (29-24) responded with two runs against Touki Toussaint in the bottom half of the opening inning to jump out in front.
Neslony’s run-scoring double advanced the 23-year-old’s hitting streak to a team-best 11 games.
The Fire Frogs had games scheduled at Clearwater on Thursday and Friday.
The Florida State League season is nearing the half way mark, with a three-game break and the league All-Star game scheduled in two weeks.
The top teams from each division qualify for the playoffs in September.
The Fire Frogs are the Advanced-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves and compete in the Florida State League.
