Want to see some real Disney magic?

Head on over to the newly-opened Walt Disney  Presents gallery at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and you will be able to see the future.

The all-about Walt’s dreams attraction, is a museum to all of the diverse things Disney planned and conceived during his life, including memorabilia from the Mickey Mouse Club TV show, the original Audio Animatronic Abraham Lincoln from the 1964 New York World’s fair and a whole lot more.

But if you want to see what is coming to the resort in the near future, Walt Disney Presents will be a must-stop for that next Disney outing.

You will want to check lots of stuff at Walt Disney Presents, but if you just can’t wait, walk to the rear of the show/exhibit and you will find the main event — a close up look at a model of Star Wars: Galaxy Edge, a new land coming to the studios in 2019. With a bit of imagination, you just might see yourself walking around the remote trading port at the edge of space. The new attraction will feature Star Wars characters and their stories coming to life, featuring two major attractions including one that will put guests  in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance.

The model version of the attraction is actually just a partial representation of how big the new Star Wars land will be. Star Wars: Galaxy Edge actually has a head start at Disneyland, it will open earlier in 2019 than the attraction at Disney World.

Also coming in the near future to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Walt Disney Presents features the concept art of the new attraction, which will replace The Great Movie Ride at the theme park.

The “dark ride” attraction, will be indoors with a movie storyline. Guests are invited to watch the premiere of a new Mickey Mouse cartoon, but things soon get out of control and guests are transported from watching the cartoon to being onboard a train operated by Goofy and a wild adventure.

Disney officials are calling the ride 2 ½ D, because the new technology does not use 3D glasses. Disney says the new ride will offer up more “hidden Mickeys” than any other existing ride. Disney officials promise the new ride will be “game changing.”

Elsewhere at the recently opened Walt Disney Presents is a trip back to Walt Disney’s boyhood life in small-town America and the founding of his first cartoon studio and his many contributions to the film industry.

There also are posters and more of some of Disney’s finest moments including Pinocchio and Fantasia.

Walt Disney Presents also will host character greetings as well as special sneak previews of upcoming Disney films.
