Cuban Hispanic Heritage Festival set

The Cuban Society of Orlando invites you to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month today from 7 p.m. to midnight at 5088 Hoffner Ave., Orlando. There will be dinner, dancing and music. Cost is $15. For reservations, call 407-716-4618 or 407-856-4105.
Haiti hurricane relief effort
The Kingdom Church has partnered with Skinner Louis, Esq. from Louis Law Firm and Sandy Laborde, of the Greater Haitian Chamber of Commerce Orlando to rally support in Central Florida for Haiti and help those in need.
Haitians need water, non-perishable food, tents- tarps, flashlights, batteries, blankets, towels, clothes, sheets, toilet paper, feminine pads, baby formula, diapers, baby bottles, hygiene products, medications as aspirins, ibuprofen, Pedialite, cold medicine, diarrhea medicine, insulin.
The relief effort will be Monday in The Kingdom Church at 1400 N Nowell St. (drop off zone available) and at The Louis Law Firm (3975 Orange Blossom Trail.), both in Orlando.
Free admission to Leu Gardens
Harry P. Leu Gardens, a botanical paradise near downtown Orlando, will offer free admission Monday, Nov. 7, and every first Monday of each month. Daily admission includes access to the gardens and the house museum. Leu Gardens is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Leu Gardens offers visitors camps for children, wellness classes and fitness, photography, cooking, gardening and arrangement of gardens and organizes guided tours for groups and events in the evenings.
Food truck bazaar
The Food Truck Bazaar will be Friday, Nov. 4. It’s held the first Friday of every month from 5 to 9 p.m. at 201 E. Dakin Ave in Kissimmee.
Fighters Against Lupus
Hispanic group Fighters Against Lupus invites patients and relatives to participate at its meeting Saturday, Nov. 5, and the first Saturday of the month, at 711 Seminole Ave., Orlando, from 11 a.m. to noon.
