Buy wine, help battle pediatric cancer

Posted on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 9:57 am

ABC Fine Wine & Spirits is teaming up with Constellation Brands to raise money and increase awareness in the battle to cure pediatric cancer. From Aug. 1 to Oct. 2, a portion of the proceeds from select wines purchased at any ABC store will be donated to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF). ABC will also collect additional $1 donations from guests at the register.

Last year alone, guests helped raise more than $107,000 to support cancer research by simply shopping for wine at ABC stores.

“Our guests have always been extremely generous at our stores with their donations for pediatric cancer research,” said ABC Chairman and CEO Charles Bailes III. “We’re proud to join Constellation Brands again this year to support the important work done by the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.”

The NPCF funds clinical trials and collaborates with a network of leading hospitals across the United States to fast track less toxic and more targeted treatments for children with cancer. Since 1980, fewer than a dozen drugs have been developed for use in pediatric cancer treatment, compared to the hundreds of drugs approved for cancer treatment in adults. Purchases of the following brands at ABC Fine Wine & Spirits will contribute to the organization’s ongoing research:

Charles Smith Wines

Estancia Wines

Mark West Wines

Meiomi Coastal

 alifornia Wines

Nobilo Wines

Ruffino Italian Wine

Simi Winery
