Police, KUA warn residents about billing scam

The Kissimmee Police Department and Kissimmee Utility Authority are working together to warn residents of a billing scam targeting electric company customers. KUA customers are receiving phone calls from individuals saying that they are employees of the electric company.     Kissimmee police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify three armed robbery suspects who robbed a retail store Friday.     The second U.S. Army recruiter wanted for having sex with an underage Harmony High School student was arrested in Michigan on Friday.     A Poinciana man faces a sentence of up to life in prison after he was found guilty this week of robbing multiple retail businesses. Keenan Davis, 27, of Poinciana, was convicted of six counts of robbery affecting interstate commerce and two counts of using a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.   • Suspect arrested for 10 counts of child pornography

    A Kissimmee man was arrested on child pornography charges on Tuesday after an investigation was conducted by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Chauncey Guy Sharrow, 46, of 1158 Stroupe Road, Kissimmee, and charged him with 10 counts of promoting photo/movie sexual performance of a child. The investigation began in late August, when detectives identified a computer with an IP address that was linked to child pornography.
