After a total of 11 vehicles were burglarized in Lakeside Community in Kissimmee, members of the Problem Oriented Policing Unit are reminding residents to lock their door.

The burglaries happened between the evening hours of Jan 9 and the early morning hours of Jan 10. Each of the vehicles that were burglarized left their doors unlocked, police reports stated.

Today, officers went handing out flyers and reminding residents to lock their car doors and report any suspicious activity.  They also will be putting up a message board at the front of the community that says, “Lock your cars and report any suspicious activity.”

The investigation into these burglaries is ongoing, and no suspect information is currently available. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Kissimmee Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit at 407-846-3333, by email at seeitsayit@kissimmee.org or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
