Search continues for Aldi Supermarket robber
Osceola County Sheriff’s detectives are looking for a suspect who robbed a Kissimmee Aldi Supermarket on Wednesday.
Deputies responded to a call from the supermarket, located on Buenaventura Boulevard, at 8:13 p.m. Wednesday night. The store manager told deputies that a man walked into the store complaining about a food purchase from earlier that day. When they got to the frozen food aisle, the man handed him a note that said he had accomplices in the store and demanded money from the safe. He then revealed a handgun concealed in his jacket. The manager followed the demands, and the man left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned hispanic male in his mid-30s, approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a wide nose, thin beard line and thin goatee. He was wearing a heavy camouflage jacket, khaki pants, black tennis shoes and a black hat with a red design on the front. He also possibly left the store in a white mini-van.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.
