Osceola downed St. Cloud, 41-0, Friday at Kowboys field in the 90th game played between the teams.
Sophomore Laderrien Wilson ran for three touchdowns and senior Scooter Fagan ran for two touchdowns as the Kowboys built a 33-0 lead at halftime.
Osceola finished the regular season with an 8-2 record and was unbeaten in 7A District 6 at 6-0. The Kowboys will host Lakeland Nov. 15 in the first round of the regional playoffs. Lakeland lost the 7A-5 championship to rival Kathleen, 24-3, Friday. Osceola beat Lakeland in the first round of the playoffs last year, when the Kowboys reached the regional finals.
St. Cloud finished the season with a 3-7 record, 2-4 in the district.
Daequan Harrison’s 60-yard punt return set up Wilson’s first touchdown run in the first quarter, and Harrison’s 65-yard pass to Joey Casillas set up Fagan’s second TD run with 5:20 left in the first half.
Akiel Hamilton scored Osceola’s last touchdown in the third quarter.
Osceola defensive back Doug Jones had an interception in the second half.
Osceola leads the all-time series with St. Cloud, 59-27-4. It was Osceola’s eighth consecutive win over St. Cloud, counting a forfeit in 2010.
