Suspicious package closes roads in St. Cloud

A suspicious package found in front of St. Cloud Mini Warehouses briefly closed major roads in St. Cloud this morning.

At 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, St. Cloud Police Department received a call from a St. Cloud Mini Warehouses employee about a suspicious device he found near the building at 1324 Mississippi Avenue. The St. Cloud Police Department, along with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad responded to the scene. They shut down and evacuated the area of 13th and 14th Street between Mississippi and Oregon Avenue.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad retrieved the item and found that it was not an active bomb. All affected roads are now open in St. Cloud.
