A convicted sexual predator who cut off his GPS monitor in Kissimmee last week surrendered to authorities on Wednesday.
At about 9:45 a.m., Jeffrey Bailey turned himself into the state probation office located on John Young Parkway and was taken to the Osceola County Jail.
According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Bailey, a convicted sexual predator, cut off his GPS ankle monitor on Friday in the area of Old Tampa Highway in Kissimmee.
Bailey was convicted on March 22, 2002, of a lewd and lascivious act on a child under the age of 16 and first registered as a sexual predator on Sept. 21, 2010. Since his release from prison in 2010, he has been on state probation.
Detectives obtained a warrant, charging Baily with failing to report residence change and failing to report vacating permanent residence.
