Kissimmee man arrested on 10 counts of child porn

Osceola County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a Kissimmee man who they determined had hundreds of child pornography images and videos on his home computer.

Jodanis Muniz-Mercado, 26, was arrested and charged Thursday with 10 counts of promoting photo/movie sexual performance of a child.

The investigation began in June when detectives identified a computer with an IP address that was linked to child pornography. After further investigation, detectives located it at Mercado’s Tradewinds Drive residence in Kissimmee.

Early Thursday, detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence and took Munix-Mercado’s computer with more than 200 child pornography images and video into evidence. The suspect was home and cooperated with the investigation. Based on his statements and the evidence, he was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail, where he remained as of Friday morning on $50,000 bond. The investigation is on-going, with additional charges pending.

Deputies need help finding disabled man

Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help finding a missing Poinciana resident who has numerous health issues.

The family of Fred Arthur Limpert, 62, reported him missing early this morning. Limpert was last seen leaving his residence located on Huron Bay Circle in Poinciana on Wednesday at 1 p.m. He may be driving a 2008, black Chevy Impala with Ohio license plate 834YEY.

Detectives believe he may have been in the Tampa Bay area that day. Limpert suffers from numerous health issues and travels with an oxygen tank. He is described as a white male, approximately 5’11 tall and 205 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans with black suspenders, a navy blue shirt and gold rimmed glasses.
