Hospital employees donate supplies to Kissimmee schools

Posted on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 2:56 pm

Florida Hospital Kissimmee employees recently made a special delivery of much-needed personal items to two Kissimmee schools.
Employees delivered hundreds of personal items such as underwear, toothbrushes, shampoo and soap to Central Avenue Elementary and Kissimmee Middle schools, where they will be available for students to take home. Funds for these items came directly from employees at Florida Hospital Kissimmee.
Both of these schools have high percentages of homeless students, many of whom go without basic necessities.
“Making sure our children have the supplies they need is a key part of our mission to make our communities healthier,” said Jeff Villanueva, administrator of Florida Hospital Kissimmee. “And our employees reached into their hearts, and their wallets, to make this happen. We want to be the HEART of Kissimmee, and it’s our employees who are making that happen by giving back to our community.”
Another round of donations to local schools from Florida Hospital Kissimmee employees is planned for the new school year.
