The city of St. Cloud Parks and Recreation staff is coordinating the 22nd Annual Community Thanksgiving Celebration Saturday, Nov. 23, from noon to 2 p.m. at the St. Cloud Civic Center (3001 17th St.).
St. Cloud officials are inviting the St. Cloud community to join together with families, friends and neighbors to celebrate the Thanksgiving Day holiday. City officials and volunteers will serve turkey and the traditional side items. Admission is free, but donations of nonperishable food items for the St. Cloud Community Food Pantry are welcome and everyone is invited to bring a covered dish or dessert (if able to) to share. It is highly recommended that each covered dish and dessert be brought in a disposable container.
“Once again, we are preparing for this traditional get-together to celebrate our blessings as a close-knit community,” said Parks and Recreation Director Stephanie Holtkamp. “Everyone looks forward to this experience that brings diverse people together and promotes cultural awareness, understanding, and community building. As a part of this tradition, local vendors help in providing an enjoyable meal, including Chick-fil-A, Publix, and Walmart.”
